OTI Mabuse reached the pinnacle of Strictly Come Dancing when she won the competition in 2019 with ex-Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher.

The professional ballroom dancer is married to fellow pro Marius Iepure and the pair tied the knot in 2014.

Who is Marius Iepure?

Marius, born August 31, 1982, is a 37-year-old dancer from Romania, who has been dancing since the age of 12.

In 2014 and 2015 Marius participated in the show Let's Dance.

He is the husband of Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse who is also his professional dance partner.

The couple do not have any children but have spoken about starting a family one day.

In 2017 he appeared as a backing dancer on the BBC One show.

When did Marius Iepure marry Oti Mabuse?

The professional ballroom dancers met in Germany during a dance trial.

Together they competed in several competitions, winning gold at the German National Show Dance Championships.

They also came second place at the World Latin Championships.

On his birthday in 2014, Marius proposed to Oti and they tied the knot that same year.

Opening up on the proposal in 2017 on Instagram, Oti said: "Three years ago today this wonderful CRAZY man was annoying the life out of me because he was acting nervous (and yes I let him know I was annoyed).

"But it was only because he was nervous as he was GOING TO PROPOSE."

Who is Marius Iepure's wife Oti Mabuse?

Oti Mabuse is a 29-year-old professional dancer who works on the BBC series Strictly Come Dancing.

She was born in Pretoria, South Africa and unlike many of the Strictly family, Oti did not start her path to professional dancing from a young age.

Oti studied civil engineering at university before embarking on a career in professional dancing, following in the footsteps of her sister Motsi – nine years her senior – who is a professional ballroom dancer.

Since the start of her professional career, Oti has earned various awards including first place in the German Championship Freestyle Latin competition.

She joined the show in 2015 for its thirteenth series and was partnered with boxer Anthony Ogogo but unfortunately did not make it past week three.

She won the competition in 2019 with former Emmerdale actor Kelvin, who replaced the injured Jamie Laing.
