Zach Hartman delivered a blow to Love Island bosses after quitting the show before entering the villa – and now The Sun can exclusively reveal the REAL reason why.

The hunky male model was due to fly over to Majorca this week, but a source reveals he pulled out at the last minute after learning what producers had planned for him.

An insider reveals: “Zach was under the impression that he was going on the show as a new bombshell entering the main villa, but then he found out the plan was for him to go into Casa Amor.

“He wasn’t happy about it as he felt he deserved a proper spot as a bombshell.

"Zach is aware that lots of people who go into Casa Amor never make it into the main villa and he didn’t want to take the risk of going on national TV when he might be sent home in a few days.

The source continues: “He already has a very successful career modelling for the likes of Jack Wills, Ralph Lauren and ASOS so he didn’t feel like it was worth potentially jeopardising that for what he saw as a smaller role in Casa Amor.

“In the end, he let bosses know he was less than impressed and made the decision that it wasn’t worth the hassle and quit the show.

"He doesn’t have any regrets about it and feels he’s made the right decision for himself.”

The Sun previously exclusively revealed how Zach had been signed up by bosses as a bombshell.

A source said: “Zach is really good-looking and is a real charmer when it comes to the ladies.

“But he has a heart too. He used to carry a bit of extra weight when he was younger but he hit the gym and trimmed down after cleaning up his diet.”

Meanwhile the show has drafted in Scottish hunk Jay Younger and Manchester model Remi Lambert to spice up the villa. 

Both bombshells will be entering the villa tonight.
