Many of the most popular contestants have gone on to have successful careers in influencing, social media and modelling.
However, there have been a few stars involved in the show that had already had their taste of fame, thanks to a family connection to stardom.

Arguably one of the island’s most iconic residents, Dani appeared on the series back in 2018.
She was coupled with her partner Jack Fincham from the first day they arrived at the villa and stayed strong until the final episode, when they were crowned the season’s winners.
Dani revealed that her famous father was actor and British icon Danny Dyer, well known for his role as Mick Carter in EastEnders.
The pair share a solid bond and since her appearance on Love Island, the pair have gone one to present MTV’s True Love or True Lies together, as well as their podcast Sorted With The Dyers.
She has a son, Santiago, and has gone on to have a glamorous life since leaving the island.
Dani and Jack had their own TV series post-Love Island and she took on the role of guest reporter on BBC’s The One Show in 2019.
The star has a collection with In The Style, who were former sponsors of the show, and a line of lip products with Vaseline.
The star now loves to keep her fans updated on her classy lifestyle by regularly uploading pictures to Instagram.
She has settled into life as a mum and shares pictures of herself in glamorous outfits for her 3.6 million followers.
Belle made her Love Island debut back in 2019 as a Casa Amor bombshell and had a tumultuous relationship with co-star Anton Danyluk.
However, before her fame she may have already been used to being on set as her father is well known actor Tamer Hassan.
After his breakout role in EastEnders, Tamer brushed shoulders with the stars in his following acting roles including Danny Dyer, Orlando Bloom, Rupert Grint and Billie Piper.
Fans may know him for his appearance as Khal Forzo in Game Of Thrones, during which he would have filmed on set with stars such as Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke.
She has made a career specialising in makeup artistry and has collaborated with top brands including NARS cosmetics and Beauty Bay.
Her 992,000 followers are regularly treated to glimpses into her jet set lifestyle as she regularly takes trips abroad to tropical destinations and stays in luxury accommodation.
Luke appeared in series six and was partnered with Siannise Fudge.
He currently boasts 1.3 million followers on Instagram and has multiple profile highlights showing his lavish trips away, including Tulum and Madrid.
The former footballer has travelled to some impressive locations but when he’s not on the move, the star loves to hit up the big UK cities and dine at top restaurants, with the occasional outfit post snuck in for good measure.
However, Luke also has ties to fame as his mother was on The X Factor.
She was a contestant in series four and stunned the judges with her singing voice, but unfortunately landed sixth place.
Clips of Beverly’s singing from the show can be found on YouTube and Luke has confirmed that she has “done a few musicals” before moving on to the Kingdom Choir.
Current star of the 2022 series Gemma Owen has managed to keep her father’s identity under wraps, despite the fact that her ex-boyfriend has made an appearance in the villa.
It seems her secret is safe for now but fans are wondering when the dressage rider will reveal to the other islanders that her dad is none other than legendary footballer Michael Owen.
The athlete played for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester, Newcastle United and has even played for the England team.
Gemma seems to have earned his career driven spirit as ahead of her stint on the ITV dating show, Gemma had a career as an international equestrian star.
She performs dressage routines and competes in competitions, but also runs a bikini brand on the side called OG Beachwear.
Gemma is no stranger to the finer things in life and regularly poses in photoshoots for the brand, jets off to sunny locations and loves to show off her lavish sense of style.
As she is currently in the villa, there is no way of knowing what her future looks like but her position as a firm fan favourite is definitely solid and some even think she may win the series with Luca.
Gemma’s series co-star Liam left the island prematurely as he felt like he wasn’t being true to himself.
The cheeky chap had a big impact on both the islanders and viewers, who were both sad to see him go.
A lesser known fact about the former contestant is that his father is a famous sporting star.
His dad is David Llewellyn, a former Welsh rugby team player, who played in a number of games during 1999, most notably the World Cup.
