The Chase's Bradley Walsh stunned as player makes cardinal show sin and leaves viewers fuming

THE Chase's Bradley Walsh was left stunned after a player made the show's cardinal sin – which left viewers fuming.

Thursday afternoon's instalment of the ITV game show saw Andy, Michelle, Jacob and Allie take on the Jenny Ryan AKAThe Vixen.

Mum-of-two Allie was the last person to take on the channelge.

She managed to answer seven questions correctly in the quick-fire question round.

When she came face-to-face with the quizzer, Jenny gave her a minus offer of £17,000.

Allie had a chat with team mates Jacob and Michelle, and both said that if she wanted to take it, she should go for it.

But Bradley was shocked as he said: "That's a real chunk of dosh that!"

Jenny replied: "It is. It's theoretical dosh though Brad, as this point."

Allie went on to say: "Ten grand each is still a hell of a lot of money…

"I always said I'd never take the minus, but then there is a hell of a lot of money in that prize pot.

"So, if you really don't mind guys I am going to go for the minus £17,000. I don't even want to say it."

Bradley replied: "Hang on, hang on! My eyes are watering!"

And viewers agreed with the host.

One wrote on Twitter: "Minus 17,000 I need a minute."

Another said: "Regarding the minus offer on #TheChase, I usually don’t mind if someone takes minus 1-5 thousand pounds WITHIN REASON. Taking minus £17,000 is overkill and makes you look a pillock!"

A third chimed in: "Ridiculous minus 17k, oh why oh why come on the show steal from others who had the courage to back their insanity."

A fourth added: "Minus 17? That's the worst I've ever seen on #TheChase."

At the end of the round Bradley put his head down in shame as he pointed out that Allie could have won £33,000 for each team member if she'd gone with Jenny's other offer.

The Vixen went on to defend Allie's tactical decision to take the money home.

"If I'd have gone one or two step closer to you, you might have played a more nervy game. You knew you had that space there to get a couple wrong," Jenny said.

Unfortunately the trio went home with nothing.

It comes after Bradley mocked a The Chase contestant and showed her the door after getting an "easy" question wrong earlier this week.

On Wednesday a player called Bianca took on Darragh Ennis aka The Menace.

She got off to a flying start, but things went down hill when host Bradley Walsh asked her a question about a popular 1949 film.

Bradley said: "Complete the title of the 1949 John Wayne film, 'She Wore a Yellow… what?"

He then gave her the options of hat, ribbon and dress.

The contestant wasn't sure which one to pick so she went with dress.

She was left concerned after Bradley pulled a funny face and asked: "Why are you looking at me like that?"

He savagely replied: "Because the doors are there, there."

It was later revealed that the answer was actually ribbon.

Bradley wasn't the only one unimpressed with Bianca's film knowledge as one fan wrote on Twitter: "Ribbon, you moron!"

A second added: "Ribbon ffs."
