'The Challenge': Fessy Says CT 'Aint 'Bout' Boxing Him; Calls out 2 Other Legends

The Challenge two-time finalist Fessy Shafaat previously called out rival and five-time champ CT Tamburello for a boxing fight. As it doesn’t look like that will happen, the Big Brother 20 star just called out another Challenge legend and former finalist.

Fessy Shafaat says CT Tamburello rejected boxing offer; he called out Mark Long

In Aug. 2021, several former houseguests from the Big Brother US franchise faced off against players from the Canadian spinoff in a boxing bout.

Before the match, BB20 star Fessy Shafaat called out his Challenge co-star, multi-season champ CT Tamburello. However, the veteran seemingly didn’t publicly respond.

A few months later, shortly following CT’s back-to-back win, an Instagram follower asked Fessy what he would do when the 41-year-old beats him in a boxing match.

The two-time finalist replied on his story, insisting he already contacted CT regarding the opportunity and claims the veteran “ain’t ‘bout it.” Still wanting to box a Challenge OG, Fessy called out two-time winner Mark Long and Vendettas finalist Tony Raines.

He tried to come for CT’s crown in ‘The Challenge: Double Agents’

During The Challenge Season 36, Fessy noted he wanted to experience the same amount of success as the five-time winner.

He approached CT as they partied before an elimination and called himself “the better man,” inevitably rubbing the 41-year-old the wrong way. Therefore, the two got into a heated argument, and CT seemed to challenge Fessy to prove himself in a physical fight before security and others broke them up.

Following the episode, the BB star appeared on MTV’s The Challenge official podcast and clarified his mindset before the altercation. He explained that viewers have already begun comparing him to the five-time champ, and he wanted to take the crown by defeating the legend.

Three months after the episode aired featuring their argument, Fessy posted a still shot from it to his Instagram, challenging CT to a boxing match in a lengthy caption. He claimed he thought they should “settle this in a boxing ring” as he prefers not to “leave it in the hands of the challenge gods to see if we end up in a physical elimination against each other. Let’s make it happen.”

CT has won back-to-back challenges

Following their face-off in Double Agents, CT went on to win the season while Fessy finished in fourth place as his partner Kaycee Clark was medically disqualified.

All three returned for The Challenge 37: Spies, Lies, and Allies, where Fessy and Kaycee continued to work closely together in their known Big Brother alliance.

On the other hand, CT played a more under-the-radar game and established a strong relationship with a tough competitor, rookie Emy Alupei. Fairly early into the competition, Fessy got into an altercation with his ally Josh Martinez, resulting in his disqualification.

CT stayed in the background, avoided elimination, and made it into the finals, where he and Kaycee ended up as final teammates. They won the season together, walking with $400,000 as they chose to share the prize money with the other finalists. The Challenge airs Wednesdays on MTV.
