Strictly fans slam judges for lack of effort after Cynthias signing to Rose

Strictly Come Dancing fans have slammed the judges for 'lack of effort' after Cynthia Erivo's heartwarming gesture to Rose Ayling-Ellis.

West End superstar Cynthia stepped in for Craig Revel Horwood after he tested positive for Covid-19 earlier on in the week.

Fans were ecstatic with her appearance on the show – and were even more impressed when Cynthia signed to Rose Ayling-Ellis.

Rose is Strictly's first ever dear contestant, and has taken the show by storm alongside her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

The pair danced a stunning Frozen-themed dance this week, which left fans gobsmacked and young viewers in awe.

With the judges impressed by Rose and Giovanni's routine, Cynthia signed to the pair.

Congratulating Rose on the stunning performance, Cynthia mastered British Sign Language (BSL) especially to communicate with the EastEnders actor.

Cynthia signed to the star before adding: "You're joyful, beautiful.

"That was so much fun to watch and you managed to get all the characterisation and the mood and the feeling all in one.

"Gorgeous, thank you."

Floored by the stand-in judge's efforts, one fan of the show took to Twitter and said: "Cynthia has been on the panel for just over half an hour and has used sign language to communicate with rose… whereas certain others have had months to do so and haven’t even bothered…"

Another said: "Cynthia learned sign language to judge Rose. What a superstar."

A third penned: "Cynthia going out of her way to sign her response to Rose just made my life."

Someone else wrote: "I am loving Cynthia Ervio even more she spoken to Rose by using sign language."

While a fifth said: "Cynthia learning sign language for Rose has done me in."

This comes as fans have called for the musical legend to become a permanent fixture on the popular BBC One dancing programme.

Some fans even think that Cynthia should replace Shirley after her honest constructive criticism when judging Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden's dance on Saturday night's show.
