Strictly Come Dancing fans were delighted on Saturday night as they got to watch all 15 celebrities take to the dance floor for the first time. Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were also back to give commentary on the judge’s feedback and scores. The celebrities received a mixed bag of comments from the judging panel, although, one couple that stood out from the rest was Johannes and celebrity chef John. The duo, who made show history as the first male couple to perform together, received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.

The duo also left viewers in tears as they watched their emotional performance.

Taking to social media, Faye wrote: “So emotional at John and Johannes. Wow. #Strictly.” (sic)

Maureen penned: “How wonderful were John and Johannes? Absolutely amazing!! #Strictly #Strictlycomedancing.”

While John praised: “Watching John and Johannes I’m so proud of them.”

There will be no elimination during Saturday night’s programme, however bookmakers have already predicted who could be lifting the Glitterball Trophy and who will be the first star to go.

Greg Wise, who is married to actress Emma Thompson, is partnered with professional dancer, Karen Hauer.

According to the bookies, the 55-year-old is tipped to be the first celebrity to be eliminated from the competition.

EastEnders’ actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who is partnered up with Giovanni Pernice, is also the bookmaker’s favourite to win the series, with CBBC star Rhys Stephenson close behind her.
