Spoilers: What does Robert's letter to Victoria say in Emmerdale?

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) has been a shell of his former self in Emmerdale after husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was sentenced to prison, but little does he know that Robert has gotten in touch with Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) — something which viewers learned tonight.

Since Robert’s sentencing, Aaron has struggled to come to terms with everything that’s happened. It was only several months ago that he was preparing to start a family with his husband, and now he’s being forced to live his life without him — something which he holds Wendy and Luke responsible for.

In recent weeks, viewers have seen Aaron terrorise Wendy, as — after she moved into the village to be closer to her grandson — he threw a brick through her window, followed her wherever she went and camped outside her house.

Things reached boiling point when he smashed up her home, and attempted to hurt Luke with a golf club — but ended up hurting Liv (Isobel Steele) instead.

Since this incident, Liv has grown incredibly wary of her brother, and has done all she can to ensure that he’s okay.

However, tonight, Victoria arrived at The Woolpack to have dinner with the pair of them, and — as Aaron ordered on her behalf — Victoria revealed that she’d received a letter from Robert.

Liv was shocked, as she assumed Aaron would’ve received one as well — as did Victoria, so she decided to hold off on informing Aaron about it.

The question is: what does Robert want?

And why has he sent a letter to Victoria and not to Aaron?

Emmerdale continues Thursday 19th December at 7pm on ITV.
