Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) is already carrying the guilt of cheating on Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) with Peter Beale (Dayle Hudson) before lockdown in EastEnders – and recently, Jay admitted to Honey (Emma Barton) that the relationship had been a struggle recently.
As Jay this week focuses on supporting Honey following the brutal attack she was subjected to by date rapist Paul, Lola finds herself in the lurch – and Isaac Baptiste (Steve Basaula) swoops in with an improper proposal. But will Lola be tempted to cheat again?
Jay is both helping Honey through the aftermath of the attack and also trying to stop Billy (Perry Fenwick) doing something stupid when he catches him preparing to smash Paul in with a brick.
He soon realises he is neglecting spending time with Lola.
Lola and Jay are discussing flats when he has to leave to check in on Honey, but Isaac offers to buy her a drink instead.
Jay has good news – they got the flat but Lola’s not quite as excited as she should be. Later, Isaac asks Lola to brunch and she’s grateful for the distraction.
However, when Isaac asks if she wants to go on a date sometime, Lola is aghast but Isaac points out she is clearly not happy.
Er, settle down Isaac fella.
But what will Lola do? Will Isaac’s words strike a hurtful chord with Lola and will he take advantage of the situation? Or will Lola reject the cheeky chancer and confront Jay about the state of their relationship?
