REBEL Wilson has vowed to hit the gym after revealing that she had gained weight during her whirlwind vacation in Europe over the past few weeks.

The Australian actress posted to Instagram on Sunday to show off her svelte figure in a red swimsuit, while admitting that she's gotten off track.

The Pitch Perfect star told her followers that she has put on 3kgs while indulging at a luxury resort. 

"I just noticed I put on 3kgs on my holiday, Rebel said in her caption, before adding: "I'm at an amazing all-inclusive resort… I've lost all self-control."

"But you know what? I can get up tomorrow and go to the gym, and hydrate and eat healthily and love myself.

"It doesn't help to be hard on yourself, but I know what it's like to feel guilty and not great after eating too much."

Rebel has impressively transformed her figure by losing 35kg over the past two years.

Her weight loss has been widely attributed to the strategies developed by Austrian physician, Dr Franz Xaver Mayr.

However, she distanced herself from the Mayr Method in a statement on Instagram earlier this year, telling her 10.6million followers: 'This was never my diet.'

The Mayr Method eliminates certain foods, reduces sugar and also encourages certain eating practices such as chewing food thoroughly.

Rebel revealed on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2020 that her previous diet had high levels of carbohydrates and sugar.

The star also recently shared the very simple way she shed 35kg was walking.

She told Apple Fitness+ in January that walking – rather than doing endless high-intensity workouts – had actually been her secret weapon for weight loss.

Rebel said a doctor at a health retreat had advised her to take up walking, insisting it was the 'best way' for her to shed the kilos.
