Caller Neil rang into ITV’s This Morning and spoke to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the key to a happy relationship. But after Neil revealed he has been married for 43 years, the daytime TV presenters asked what was Neil’s secret. The caller then revealed the secret and said he puts it down to the “joint decision she makes” with Holly and Phil roaring with laughter at the cheeky response.

Speaking on This Morning, Holly and Phil were joined by Vanessa Feltz where they spoke to callers about relationships.

Neil, who appeared to call from West Yorkshire, was asked what was the secret of his success.

He responded: “I put it down to all the joint decisions that she makes.”

Holly and Phil erupted with laughter and asked whether Neil was happy with that set-up.

He responded: “Obviously we do agree secretly but it’s just that what everybody thinks.

“If you’re honest, 90 percent of blokes will be in the same situation anyway.”

Venessa Feltz then commented on her relationship status and admitted she was probably divorced because of her dominant personality.

Earlier in the show, This Morning viewers watched a clip of Alison and Josie struggling to charge their electric car.

This Morning: Phillip mocks Alison and Josie's car journey

The pair went sent around the country to plot out where the public could charge their cars but Phillip Schofield scolded them as they forgot the purpose of their trip.

Explaining their ordeal, Alison told Holly and Phillip: “You’ll be pleased to know we did get the charge in the end.

“Holly, Phil you’re not going to believe this – we were using Josie’s credit card she only had £2.50 on the credit card so I had to pay.”

“It was all a ploy, it was just an opportunity for you to get your money out Alison,” Josie quipped.

After the pair shared details about what they had been up to, Phillip asked: “I have one question.

“Are you able now to charge the car which is the whole point of this?

“Have you managed to find out the plotting of where you’re going to charge your electric car?”

“No,” Alison sheepishly replied. “We’re just flying by the seat of our pants, it’s fine.”
