Pamela Anderson still wears her iconic red Baywatch swimsuit to surprise her dates 20 years on

PAMELA Anderson has revealed that she still wears her red Baywatch swimsuit to surprise her dates 20 years on.

The 52-year-old star shot to fame in the US drama series, which she starred in between 1992 and 1997.

The skimpy swimwear is iconic of both Baywatch and Pamela, with the blonde beauty earning a reputation for her sexy, slow-motion runs along the beach while wearing the cossie.

Now Pamela has confessed that she is yet to retire the scarlet swimsuit, stripping into it when she has male company at her house.

She explained: "I jump in the shower with a bathing suit and then jump on them wherever they are in the house, soaking wet."

She went on to add to The New York Times that the whole appeal of the swimming costume was its "tiny size".

Pamela explained: "Some people bring me bathing suits to sign autographs on and they are these big bathing suits and I say, 'Listen, my bathing suit was tiny.

"'It just stretched and pulled onto your body.'"

However, Baywatch's creator, Michael Berk, told to the publication that show bosses never meant for the swimsuits to be racy, sharing: "It was all about athletics and functionality.

"This was also the case with the famous slow-motion run."

While Pamela is still making full use of her Baywatch costume, her co-star Carmen Electra is a little bit more precious – treating it as though it is a museum piece.

She revealed: "I have my suit framed and when people come over to the house, they get really excited.

"It just has this effect on people. It was empowering."

The revelations come after it was announced that Baywatch is being revived for a special documentary feature film, which will see the cast and crew reflect on the hit series over two decades on.
