Ozark fans were devastated to discover the highly-anticipated fourth season would be the final instalment in the series. More recently, many of the Netflix streamers were left in tears after Julia Garner who played Ruth Langmore took to Instagram to share a heartfelt goodbye.
Julia shared a number of behind the scenes snaps from her time spent on the set of Ozark, throughout the five years she played Ruth.
In the caption, the actress wrote a lengthy farewell message, which read: “It’s been a little over two weeks since we wrapped the final season of Ozark – I’ve been processing a lot.
“It was beyond hard saying goodbye to so many people I love so dearly, this was a VERY SPECIAL job, and over the last five years we really became family,” she added.
Julia shared: “This show has changed my life in many ways. I feel so grateful for the beautiful lifelong friendships I have made on this show.
“OZARK was a magical moment in time, you all inspired me in ways I cannot even express, and I thank you for that,” she continued.
“I love you and miss you. And for everyone that watches our show, I can’t wait for you to see the final season, “Julia concluded.
The post drew the attention of thousands of fans who were moved by the message, as well as her fellow co-stars who also expressed their gratitude.
Instagram user Suzi took to the comments and wrote: “Ozark is amazing! Can’t wait for the final season but also sad.”

Another fan, anggirardi shared: “I’m so sad it’s going to be the final season.”
While others were still in disbelief, season four would be the last they would see of Ruth in the Missouri Ozarks.
“IT CAN’T BE OVER [cry emoji],” user acschnaser commented.
Elsewhere townsonwells commented: “I’m not crying, you are. Miss youuuuuu.”
Julia’s fellow castmates also felt compelled to comment on the post after reading the emotional message.
Skylar Gaertner who played Jonah Byrde since season one responded and wrote: “Getting to work with you on this show has been an amazing ride, you are so talented and kind. I can only hope our paths cross again.”
Sam Dermody star Kelvin L. Johnson commented: “Love you too, Julia.”
Meanwhile, actor Trevor Long, who played her troubled father Cade Langmore wrote: “Family for life,” with a red heart emoji.
Fans can anticipate tons of action from Ruth in the upcoming season of Ozark, as she stopped working for the Byrde family and decided to join their enemy Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery).
This is expected to cause major problems as Ruth has worked with Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) since the beginning of his money laundering and therefore knows all his secrets.
However, other viewers anticipate her move to Darlene was actually a secret ploy to get close enough to kill the queen pin.
It’s safe to say season four will be explosive, after all, Ruth’s final goal is to make enough money and leave behind her life of crime.
Ozark season four Part one premieres on Netflix January 21.
