NORMAL People stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal have shared a sweet reunion photo on Instagram.
The pair starred in the Irish drama as Marianne Sheridan and Connell Waldron, two teenagers who had an on/off relationship during their school and university years.
The BBC series, based on a novel by Sally Rooney, premiered during the first lockdown and became a huge hit, eventually winning Mescal a BAFTA.
Daisy shared a few photos of herself enjoying some time in the Big Apple, with one of them also featuring her Normal People co-star smiling for the camera.
"Kewl cats and kittens in NYC," she wrote in the caption, referencing Tiger King, the other show that gripped millions during the early days of the first lockdown.
Paul quietly deleted his Instagram account earlier this year, despite having wracked up over 1 million followers.
At the time a friend said: "He’s a private guy and doesn’t feel the need to share everything online.”
The actor has been named as a potential James Bond following the departure of Daniel Craig, whose final film in the role, No Time To Die, comes out today (September 30).
"I'm a huge Bond fan. I think it's an incredible franchise. But it feels very, very far away from current circumstances,” he said last year.
Speaking more recently about the possibility of a second series of the lockdown hit, Paul said: "I would work with Daisy [Edgar-Jones] again in a heartbeat and regardless of working with her again, I'm just really excited to see her so we can see each other again. It would be great.
"At the moment, there's nothing at all in the pipeline so I don't want to be quoted on 'maybe there's going to be a [Normal People] season 2'.
"There's nothing at the moment."
Normal People is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
