Naughty Boy insists he didnt lie about his age after ITV Im A Celebrity exit

Middle-aged fibber Naughty Boy insists he has never lied about his age as he has the “energy” of a man in his late-20s.

The music producer was outed for using a “showbiz age” of 36 in a string of interviews, before his real date of birth was outed during his time on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Despite being weeks away from turning 41 on January 1, he yesterday (THURSDAY) told the Daily Star: “It’s not something that fazes me – people have not really asked me my age – they say, ‘Are you 27 or 28?’

“I’ve never lied about my age. You are the age of your energy. I think people get too caught up in, ‘What’s your actual age?’”

An official ITV1 press release had given the music producer’s false, younger age before he entered the show and public records were uncovered that showed he is 40.

In his first interview hours after being booted off I’m A Celeb in a public vote on Wednessday night, Naughty also babbled he would keep feeling young as he’s had such a spectacular life, with highlights including recording a track with Beyoncé.

Single Londoner Naughty – born Shahid Khan – babbled: “Of course, I’m going to feel like I’m 27 forever because – what a life.

“It’s been a crazy journey. I can keep looking young and eventually I’ll get married and I’ll still be young.

“I’ve never had anyone asking my real age. I’ve never been shy about that. I’m a New Year’s Day baby.”

Naughty – who dropped nearly a stone-and-a-half in weight during filming – added he feels like he went into the show as “brand Naughty Boy” but has emerged “ a man”.

He also said his rows over cooking with campmate Kadeena Cox, 30, was the result of him refusing to bottle up his emotions as he believes it is “the first sign of depression”.

Naughty said he thought former contestant Arlene Phillips, 78, had the best personal hygiene of this year’s celebrities – but said he doused his clothes with a Louis Vuitton fragrance to keep himself smelling fresh.

Since his exit, fans who previously wanted him booted off the series have taken to Twitter to point out how “boring” the show will be without him.

"Didn’t like naughty boy but it’s gonna be pretty boring now isn’t it #imaceleb," one viewer said.

Another echoed: "Noooo! Not naughty boy! It’s gonna be boring now! #ImACeleb."

"I’m actually gutted naughty boy has been sent home.. the show’s gone from being a bit boring to being very boring now #ImACeleb," a third blasted.

Naughty Boy predicted Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson, 47, was in the running to be crowned this year’s I’m A Celeb victor and said his next plans include going to Dubai to shoot a movie with 35-year-old actress Jameela Jamil.
