Trying to numb the pain with alcohol, the TV host explained she would drink to the point of blackout in order to get through the day.
"On Christmas Day, I didn't even cook dinner. I started drinking as I couldn't face getting through the day. My family were at their wit's end, but they have been amazing. Truly amazing," she said.
"Drink was never the problem," she continued, "it was just getting through the day."
"I was on 16 tablets at one point, and I was just wired all the time."
Coming out of the other side, and back to her former self, Linda declared: "Touch wood, I am finally there."
