Little Mix stars Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards have spoken out on the recent announcement that they're taking a break from the band.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, which airs tonight Friday 3 December, the bandmates first performed their hit song Between Us live, where lyrics read: "I swear that we won't lose this thing we found".
The trio then broke down before chatting with host Graham, 58, to discuss their decision to focus on their individual projects going forward.
Jade, 28, who is reportedly in top secret talks with a record label for her solo career, explained how emotional it has been for them before saying it's "the right time" for them to go out on their own.
“It’s been terribly emotional," she said. "We’ve still got the tour next year and a few other bits, but it’s been 10 incredible years and we always said if we’re going to take a little break it would be on an incredible high, at our peak so it seems like the right time."
Describing their close bond, she continued: “We are family and love each other to bits so what’s lovely is that whatever we go off and do we can support each other through it and celebrate each other – it’s a lovely way to do it.”
Leigh-Anne, 30, who recently shared a beautiful and rare snap of herself breastfeeding one of her twins, added: "It’s time to spread our wings a little bit and do our individual things.”
Meanwhile Perrie, 28, addressed their win at the Brit Awards as she shared: “It was about time a girl group won.”
The pals are already beginning their solo careers away from Little Mix as Leigh-Anne is set to release solo music in her debut movie Boxing Day.
The mum-of-two first teased the new music during an interview on PopBuzz, titled The Power of Little Mix.

"I wonder if I'm going to leak something or if I'm not," she first started before going on: "I actually have recorded something original for it which is exciting. That's all I'm gonna say about that."
Later, a source told The Sun that Leigh-Anne hasn't just recorded one solo song but two in the film where she plays the role of Georgia – a singer who is trying to get over her ex Melvin.
The insider explained: “Leigh-Anne adores her Little Mix girls but is also keen to branch out on her own.
“Vocally she sounds incredible on the songs. One in particular really showcases her range.
"They really show what direction Leigh-Anne is likely to go in with her music away from the group, fans will love it."
