Celebrity Gogglebox star KSI is now worth £20m – despite losing £2m on Bitcoin.
The 28-year-old YouTube sensation has bought up a property empire in cash and now has more than 13 high-end flats and homes to his name – all without mortgages.
KSI's property development firm Kilimanjaro Your Mum Ltd has £2.5 million of property on its books and the Throne Holdings – worth £3.8m – added £1.3m of bricks and mortar investments last year.
The addresses are in addition to the £8 million of housing stock he’s bought over the last few years.
A production company called Ksiolajidebt Ltd also holds cash reserves of almost £1 million and Nightmare Entertainment Ltd is worth £2.1m.
His incredible fortune is despite losing a lot of money on cryptocurrency – after initially making £7million.
Speaking to Jamie Laing on his podcast Private Parts, he revealed: “I put £2m [in] last November, December. I made £7m. Now I’ve lost it all.”
KSI built up a global following on YouTube after he began uploading gaming videos while still at school and rakes in a fortune from the channel and social media posts, plus his recent rap albums.
KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji from Watford – is also a boxer and actor.
He began writing music while studying at Berkhamsted School to help him absorb his lessons.
The then-schoolboy set up his YouTube channel in his mid-teens and became known as KSI – Knowledge, Strength, Integrity.
YouTube advertisers were soon paying him £1,500 a month — more than some of his teachers were earning.

He revealed his Eureka moment while still attending classes, recalling: “I remember I asked a teacher, this is how much I made this month, it was about £1,500, and I remember him telling me 'That's more than I make’.
“I looked at it and I thought, 'that's it, YouTube is the one, it is the goldmine. I need to push and push because I know I can become something and make my parents proud.'"
And he said of his wealth: “I guess I am wealthy. Yes. I've been doing YouTube for 10-plus years, I had a lot of money coming from different angles, in different areas, so it makes sense for me to be worth eight figures, yeah."
In addition to his YouTube career, he has released four EPs as a rapper, two of which have topped the UK R&B Albums Chart and album, Dissimulation came out lasy year.
His most recent album, All Over The Place, came out this week to rave reviews, and has collaborations with Craig David and Anne-Marie.
