Jessica Plummer’s I’m A Celeb stint has family worried over her extreme phobias

EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer admits her family are worried she has signed up to I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! 2020 due to her suffering from multiple phobias.

The BBC babe, who played Chantelle Atkins during her time in Albert Square, admits says has arachnophobia, as well as a fear of heights.

She adds she has "just about every phobia".

Jessica, 28, said: "Everyone I have told thinks I am mental.

"My family are all like ‘Jess seriously, you are such a scaredy cat and you are so precious about your luxuries, what are you signing up for?!

"But I have reminded them I did go camping as a kid and I know I have got it in me. I am quite competitive, I played sports as a kid and I would really beat myself up if I didn’t give it my all."

Jessica added: "I have got all the phobias.

When my friends see me too, they are going to say ‘what the hell? This doesn’t make sense!”

"But I keep having to tell myself that it is good to face your fears."

Admitting she's been watching past series to give her an idea of what she might face on the show, she said: "I am dreading all of the trials.

"Are any of them nice? Are any better than another?! I remember watching the show in the past and always looking forward to the eating trial.

"Whether I want to be part of it is a different matter!"

Despite knowing her time in the Welsh castle won't be an easy ride or quick pay cheque, Jessica said: "I can’t wait to meet everyone else and I am going to do things that I would never ever have done otherwise.

"It is going to be a huge experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
