THE Good Doctor is in the midst of airing season 3, but fans will have to wait a little while longer before catching a new episode.
As Monday rolls on, viewers are likely wondering, “Is there a new episode of The Good Doctor on tonight and, if not, when does it return?”
Unfortunately for fans looking for something new to watch during the current coronavirus pandemic, the ABC medical drama is taking the week off.
There are only two episodes left of the season — the two-part finale —and part 1 won’t air until Monday, March 23 at 10 p.m.
An official premiere date for part 2 has not yet been revealed.
After last week’s The Good Doctor broadcast, featuring Shaun yelling at Lea and Claire realizing she’s in love with Melendez, the wait might be difficult, but there’s a new promo and synopsis to help hold people over.
The episode 19 (“Hurt”) trailer shows an earthquake putting all of the St. Bonaventure Hospital doctors in danger and promises: “Not everyone will survive.”
Who dies and which actor is leaving the show? Viewers will have to wait another week to find out.
Until then, the synopsis also teases: “In the first episode of the two-part season finale, the city of San Jose is rocked by a massive earthquake.
“[It] puts the staff of St. Bonaventure Hospital on high alert as they race to assess the damage and account for the safety of their colleagues and friends.
“Meanwhile, Dr. Neil Melendez and Dr. Aaron Glassman are attending a charity event when their lives are threatened by the earthquake.”
Filming for the final two season 3 episodes of The Good Doctor will not be affected by the coronavirus outbreak, like many other shows, as production has already wrapped on the ABC series.
