Inside ITVs Dancing On Ice live shows with free sweets, bar area and pizza for audience

Dancing On Ice 2018 champion Jake Quickenden has revealed an inside look at the hit ITV live shows.

The I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! runner-up, 34, who soared to fame on The X Factor in 2012, attended the live show last Sunday, where he sat in the audience.

Since competing on Dancing On Ice, Jake, who won in 2018 with professional skater Vanessa Bauer, has remained committed to supporting the ITV skating show and the celebrities starring on it.

From predicting finalists to dealing with pre-show nerves, skating champion Jake is on hand to offer his thoughts and advice to the new line-up.

In his exclusive OK! Instagram Live this week, Jake gave fans an inside look and fun behind-the-scenes facts from the ITV show…

Jake said of sitting in the audience: "They hand out Haribo sweets! Yeah, so the guy who comes on the mic and does a bit of chat during the break, he just goes around chucking Haribo into the crowd – so that's pretty cool. Everyone is well fed and watered!"

Revealing any other fun behind-the-scenes facts, the star added: "You can get a drink before, there's a bar you can go to and there's pizza afterwards – so everyone is really looked after."

Although Jake hilariously added: "You've got to pay for the pizza like!"

The former Dancing On Ice champion also revealed the judges' reactions after he "called them out" during the live show for their low scoring.

During the show, host Holly Willoughby went to Jake in the audience to which he said: "I think the judges are being a bit harsh as well, I think you need to start getting your marks a bit higher!

"Come on, Mollie [Gallagher] and Joey [Essex] were good this week, I think they should have gone higher" as he started laughing.

Revealing the judges' reactions after his comments, Jake said: "I called the judges out, a little bit, I've said each week that some weeks they're over marking and some weeks they're under marking."

He added: "Interesting to see how the crowd reacts to the judges, I'd be scared to be sat on that panel, if they [the audience] didn't agree with them, they were giving them it!"

Jake continued: "I said to Ash [Ashley Banjo, who is a judge] afterwards, 'I had to give it you, a bit, stop under marking!' and he just laughed. He was like: 'I love it mate, it's fine!'

The star added: "I spoke to Jayne [Torvill, a judge] and Chris [Dean, a judge], I've got a lot of time for Jayne and Chris, they are so lovely.

"I didn't really mention scoring to them, they laughed about me kind of saying to them. I think they're really enjoying this season and think it's a good season!"

Dancing On Ice continues at 6:30pm on ITV.
