Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly couldn't resist making one last cheeky dig at Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Sunday night's instalment of ITV's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The hosting duo has been hitting the headlines after poking fun at Boris Johnson this season, most notably taking aim at allegations about a Christmas party held at Downing Street last year when London was under strict tier-three restrictions.
And during the finale, Ant and Dec left everyone in hysterics as they savagely joked that 57 year old Boris had secured a spot on the series next year.
Ahead of announcing the winner, Dec said: "Before we bring the curtain down on this year's show, we're always looking ahead. Rest assured, we're looking ahead. We'll let you into a little secret – we're already booked one for the next series."
With Ant rubbing his hands together in glee, Dec pulled out a shirt with the Prime Minister's name on it and a phone number to call and vote for him to do the trials.
Immediately the production crew began laughing while Dec declared: "Evening Prime Minister!"
Ant and Dec jokes aimed at Boris began innocently enough.
They first cheekily mocked Boris after he stumbled through a speech at the Confederation of British Industry before saying "forgive me" while attempting to find his place in his notes.
Later they addressed the allegations about a Christmas party held at Downing Street last year when London was under strict tier-three restrictions.
Speaking about the change of leader in Gwrych castle, Ant hilariously told viewers: "They weren't celebrating. They categorically weren't having a party. They categorically deny any accusations they had a party."
Ant added: "And this fictional party definitely didn't involve cheese and wine or a secret Santa."
The next day, they doubled down on Boris as they continued to address the leaked clip, which showed Boris' former political aide Allegra Stratton joking about the alleged bash.
Speaking of the campmates hiding David Ginola's letter, Dec said: "Not a great idea that, is it?"
Ant responded: "If we've learned one thing in the last 24 hours, you can't cover something up."
Dec added: "No, that will come back to bite them at some point. Might take a year – but it will happen.
"The situation was as clear as day, we all watched them getting the question wrong. It was obvious what happened. Even Ant and Dec are ahead of the Prime Minister – sorry… Danny Miller… on this one."
Dec added: "Don't worry, we'll launch an enquiry on something – not that that'll do anything."
