Hollyoaks fans may recognise actor Dominic Power who has joined the popular Channel 4 soap opera as a cheerful courier Dave Chen-Williams.
On the surface he looks like a happy-go-lucky unassuming character, but Hollyoaks residents soon realise there’s more to Dave that meets the eye.
The new arrival is set to shake up the village after it was revealed during Wednesday's first-look episode on E4 that he's Maxine Minniver's (Nikki Sanderson) real dad.
Speaking about joining the cast of Hollyoaks, Dominic said: "It’s an honour to be part of such an iconic British soap.
"Can’t wait for the Hollyoaks fans to meet Dave!"
Dominic made his Hollyoaks earlier this month alongside the rest of the Chen-Williams family.
The actor has popped up in almost all of the major British soap operas including Doctors and EastEnders.
He portrayed DI Tom Stanton in Doctors in 2017, but has portrayed three separate characters in the soap previously.
In 2000, he popped up in EastEnders and he played evil Cameron Murray in Emmerdale between 2011 and 2013.
His time in the Dales saw him shack up with Debbie Dingle, before having an affair with her aunt Chas Dingle.
While playing Cameron, he ended up murdering three major characters in the soap – Alex Moss, Gennie Walker and Carl King.
He then held people hostage in the pub before his death from electrocution in the cellar of The Woolpack.
For his role as Cameron, he won the Best Bad Boy award at the Inside Soap Awards.
The Kent-born actor has more recently been seen working alongside Tom Courtenay and Gemma Jones in the ITV drama Unforgotten.
Fans will have to wait to see how Dave reacts when he finds out that Maxine is his long-lost daughter.
Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first look episodes on E4 at 7pm
