GMBs Richard Arnold teases Im A Celebrity debut as close friend Sue Cleaver joins show

Richard Arnold has teased a potential I'm A Celebrity debut as his close friend and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver landed in Australia on Tuesday.

Speaking on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain, the presenter, 52, spoke about the rumoured line-up as a slew of stars jet into Brisbane airport ahead of the 2022 series.

Richard said: "The countdown is on of course as the first few contestants arrive Down Under for the new series of I'm A Celeb.

"So, my good friend and Corrie star, Sue Cleaver, there she is! She's been spotted at Brisbane airport…"

Richard added that Chris Moyles and Olivia Attwood were also seen landing in Australia while Danny Dyer, Jade Thirlwall and Boy George are also rumoured.

Teasing his own debut on the hit ITV series, Richard added: "If I'm notably absent from the show over the next couple of weeks… I mean there could be a reason…

"Sue's in there, they jet in old friends, don't they? I've got a little bit of a holiday haircut… just putting it out there!"

To which Kate Garraway replied: "How nice, we'd all love that!"

While Richard added: "Let the Twittersphere light up!"

It comes as Sue looked cool and collected as she touched down in Australia on Tuesday night UK time.

Travelling in comfort, Sue, 59, appeared to give the nod to her upcoming jungle stint in a leopard print top and baseball cap.

When quizzed about her time in Australia though, the Coronation Street star remained schtum about her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! debut, simply voicing her love of Australia instead.

Sue – who has starred as Corrie's Eileen Grimshaw for over two decades – arrived hours after fellow celebs Chris and Olivia touched down in Brisbane for the show.

While Sue declined to chat about her upcoming jungle stint, former BBC Radio 1 star Chris was feeling optimistic as he spoke to reporters.

“It should be nice, fingers crossed anyway,” he said. “There's lots of everything in this country, like sport and beer and I am not scared of sport or beer. So I think I will be alright."

Meanwhile Olivia, who will be the first Love Island star to ever go on I’m A Celeb, quipped she was concerned about how her campmates will “tolerate” her.

She said: “I am scared of me, in terms of how long the other campmates can tolerate me. I will get myself in trouble somehow, the usual.”

"I haven't packed very many bikinis, we are not allowed very many,” Olivia added.

The reality TV star went on to say that her family have long encouraged her to take part in the popular ITV show.

Olivia, Chris and Sue’s arrivals in Australia come just a day after the set was forced to close for 24 hours following bad weather.
