Emmerdales Lisa Riley confirms new huge incredible storyline for Mandy Dingle

Emmerdale's Lisa Riley has confirmed that her character Mandy Dingle is set to be part of a new "enormous" storyline.

Teasing what viewers can expect from the hit ITV soap over the next few months, the actress, 46, who has played Mandy on-off since 1995, revealed her upcoming scenes will be "incredible".

Lisa also addressed fans' demands that her character Mandy get back together with on-screen ex-husband Paddy Kirk, played by Dominic Brunt.

Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: "The whole nation wants to see Mandy and Paddy together. But it's soap, as you know, and we will keep this carrot dangling for a long time."

Lisa added: "What I can tell you is I have an enormous storyline coming which starts in February – you can't see my dining room table for scripts right now."

Teasing further details, she continued: "I'd even go as far as to say that it's probably my favourite storyline since I've come back to Emmerdale. It's going to be incredible."

It comes as Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson has teased what viewers can expect from the ITV soap in 2023.

It's been a dramatic few weeks in the Dales as part of the 50th anniversary with four shocking character deaths and the destruction of the village due to the storm.

And teasing even more details on Wednesday 7 December, the ITV soap's boss has shared new spoilers, revealing explosive weddings, heartbreaking scenes and new B&B owners.

Speaking to press, including OK! , Jane said the Dingles will be the main focus in the New Year, teasing: "The Dingles are really kicking off 2023 with a bang. It's all going on for them!"

Jane added: "We're continuing our story with Paddy and Chas and how you navigate trying to be the best parents you can when your marriage has fallen to pieces and one of you has had an affair.

"We'll watch them both go on their journeys, and it will be very serious and quite heartbreaking as we watch what happens to what were one of our favourite couples until we tore them apart…"
