The way Danny Miller found out he was to become a dad was just as dramatic as the episode of Emmerdale he was filming.
He opened up about the moment he found out his fiancée Steph Jones was pregnant in an interview with OK!, saying he was shooting last month’s barn explosion at the time.
NHS midwife Steph, struggled to get in touch with her fiancé to share the exciting news because he was so busy with the intense storyline.
Steph said: “We’ve done so many tests that were negative so I wasn’t expecting it to be positive – I couldn’t believe it!
"I was shaking and trying to ring Danny, but he wasn’t answering because he was on set.”
Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle on the popular soap, said when he saw how many missed calls he had that he had a feeling Steph could be pregnant.
The couple were only days away from starting IVF treatment making the happy announcement even more exciting for the pair.

The 30-year-old actor continued: “Usually my phone is on flight mode but that day I knew she wasn’t feeling good, she hadn’t had her period and we were just about to start the IVF, so I just put it on silent.
He told Steph he could not speak and she replied saying ring me with three Ns and four Es.
Danny continued on to say the next take dragged by but as soon as the cameras were off he went to call Steph back.

He raced home and bought a pregnancy test on the way so they could have that moment of seeing it go positive together.
Danny and Steph have been together for two years, but first met in primary school.
