Fan-favourite couple Bob (played by Tony Audenshaw) and Viv Hope (Deena Payne) welcomed twins into the world back in 2007 and since their arrival in Emmerdale, viewers have not seen much of Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) and Heath (Sebastian Dowling) in recent years. But, that could all change in upcoming months as the actor who plays their father, Bob, spoke out about the possibility of a new storyline involving the twins and suggested some mischief could be made.
Before the soap started airing lockdown episodes earlier this month, viewers saw Bob finally tell Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) how he felt about her.
There was an almighty misunderstanding which saw Wendy write Bob a letter explaining her feelings for him, but instead of the Woolpack barman receiving it, it fell into the hands of Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel).
Initially, it was Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Parker) idea to put words onto paper and she told Wendy she would post her letter to Bob alongside the other medical letters she needed to send out.
Scenes saw Rishi panicking at the thought Wendy wanted to embark on a romance with him considering he was married.

He turned to Bob for advice and Bob was utterly heartbroken to hear the woman he has adored from afar had been harbouring feelings for not only a married man, but also his best friend.
After a venomously cryptic conversation with the nurse, Bob spoke to Manpreet who eventually cleared up the whole misunderstanding.
In a blind panic, Bob went searching for Wendy to right his wrong and ritually they had a heart to heart where they were honest with one another about their feelings.
So, is it going to be plain sailing for the couple for now on
According to the actor who plays Bob, there could be a few more twists in their love story.
Tony spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about what is to come for his character.
When asked what opinions he thinks Bob’s children will have on Bob’s relationship with Wendy, Tony said: “Obviously they [Cathy and Heath] had a bit of difficultly with the Laurel situation.
“I don’t know, but it would be nice to see them full stop I suppose! They’ve only been in it for about a year!” He remarked in reference to the few scenes he shares with the child actors.

After all, they currently live with Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) who is a surrogate mother to them after their own, Viv, died.
Having seen the heartache she endured while being married to Bob, and then with Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) leaving abruptly for Australia, why should Bob be happy and not her?
It comes after Tony spoke about Bob’s other children and whether they could make a comeback.
