Emmerdale: Mary and Faye enjoy family meal
Paddy Kirk (played by Dominic Brunt) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) shared a passionate kiss on the latest instalment of Emmerdale. The smooch left viewers wondering if the couple would get back together, but Paddy later confirmed he no longer wanted to be with his cheating wife Chas. ITV soap spoilers have now revealed Paddy asks a heartbroken Chas for a divorce in upcoming scenes.
On Thursday night’s hour-long episode of Emmerdale, Chas told Paddy: “I am asking you to forgive me and move back home, please. Let’s try again.”
Paddy looked taken aback by Chas’ plea before delivering a crushing blow to the Emmerdale barmaid.
Chas added: “I’ve got no right in saying this, but last night when we kissed, it was like all those feelings and all the reasons why we together came flooding back.
“I don’t think you realise just how much you mean to me.”
Paddy told her he didn’t know what to say, to which Chas panicked: “Well, you don’t have to decide yet, I know things can’t magically go back to the way they were.
“It will take time to build that trust up again but if we care enough about each other we can do it, can’t we.”
Paddy eventually told Chas he loved her but was no longer “in love” with Chas “anymore” and apologised for that.
“I’m sorry, but I am not coming back,” Paddy explained to Chas who started welling up.
In upcoming scenes, Chas is left stunned when Paddy announces he’s been in touch with a solicitor about their divorce.
The Emmerdale vet explains he doesn’t see the use in prolonging everything and asks Chas if she’s like to make a joint divorce application.
Will she agree a joint application is the right decision for both of them, or not?
Will she try and do everything within her power to win back Paddy who she still loves deeply?

Emmerdale fans will remember Chas cheated on her husband with corrupt businessman Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) who happened to be her brother Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) arch-enemy.
The affair ended after Cain’s 10-year-old son shot Al dead following a dramatic standoff last year.
Villagers turned against Chas for breaking Paddy’s heart and she has been trying to redeem herself ever since.
But it’s been a difficult time for Paddy who sunk into a deep depression earlier this year as he struggled to come to terms with the deceit.
He almost took his own life and his loved ones have been remaining close to him as he recovers.
The Emmerdale character has been doing better in recent weeks and appears stronger in himself.
Perhaps the only way he can move forward with his life is by leaving Chas behind for good.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
