Emmerdale character to die in devastating fire

Emmerdale has been renamed Emmerdeadville as a deadly blaze wreaks havoc this summer, leaving locals in danger.

And Tracy Metcalfe’s (Amy Walsh) life hangs in the balance as two residents set fire to Sharma sweet factory – not realising she’s trapped inside.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, producer Lucy Shaw told us her life will ‘never be the same again’ as events spiral out of control.

‘We have a big week at the end of the month – Emmerdeadville as we call it,’ she said.

‘Also in the week we have Sharma drama as a fire rips through the factory. It’s caused by two of our villagers who are up to no good behind Jai and Rihsi’s backs.

‘Unbeknown to anyone, Tracy is trapped in the factory and as the fire takes hold, there’s a huge explosion. Will Tracy get out in time?

‘It’s safe to say there are heartbreaking scenes ahead for the villagers and Tracy’s life will never be the same again.’

But who exactly set the fire, and will Tracy survive?

Elsewhere this summer, it’s not all doom and gloom in the Dales as there is finally some joy in the air for Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), who hasn’t had the best time of it in the romance department.

But, in true Bernice style, she takes matters into her own hands and sets up a Wild West murder mystery event in a bid to help the local hospital – and has a lot more than charity on her mind.

As ever.

In fact, she can’t stop thinking about Dr Cavanagh, could this finally be her moment?

We seriously hope so.
