Daniel Radcliffe Finds It Lovely Friends Recover From Hangovers Using Harry Potter Films

The leading man of the boy wizard franchise and his co-stars, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, are set to reunite for ‘Return to Hogwarts’ marking 20 years since the release of the first movie.

AceShowbizDaniel Radcliffe is thrilled his “Harry Potter” films are beloved by boozy friends recovering from a heavy night. The grown-up child star’s friends have told him they turn to the boy wizard franchise for a little comfort when they are recovering from hangovers.

“The time in most people’s lives when they discovered it meant that it has an incredibly important place in a lot of people’s childhoods, and they still feel very protective over it,” Daniel said in a new BBC documentary marking 20 years since the release of the first “Harry Potter” movie.

“One of my favorite fates that we could never have ever imagined for the ‘Harry Potter’ films – but that I have been told by several friends – is that they are fantastic when people are hung over and feeling really c**ppy about themselves.”

“They will just watch back-to-back a few movies and it just takes them to a place of warmth and comfort [sic]. That is so lovely to me. That is the real world effect that a film can have on someone’s life. I think that is great.”

Meanwhile, Radcliffe and his “Harry Potter” castmates Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are set to reunite for 20th anniversary special, “Return to Hogwarts”, on HBO Max.

The TV event will “honor the magic behind the making of the films and the beautiful family created at Warner Bros. Studios London two decades ago”, according to a press release.

Debuting on January 1, the special will feature interviews and cast conversations with the three stars and “Potter” favorites like Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, and Tom Felton.
