Dani Dyer has recently opened up about “missing” her baby bump after starring as a pregnant cab driver in EastEnders alongside her dad, Danny Dyer – who plays fan favourite, Mick Carter.
The Love Island winner will be making her debut on the popular soap next Monday 14 June 2021, playing the cameo role of Jeanette, a heavily pregnant taxi driver tasked with getting Mick to the hospital
When asked if she took inspiration from her own pregnancy for the role, Dani said: “I did! I looked atYouTube first to see how pregnant women act. Then, I realised I’ve been pregnant, so I was better off relating to myself!”

The new mum continued: “I absolutely loved being pregnant, so it was mad having a bump back on and it made me miss mine even more.”
Dani welcomed her son Santiago – nicknamed Santi – with her partner earlier this year. Her gorgeous baby boy was born in January after Dani originally hoped he’d be born around Christmas time.
Santi is Dani’s first child and Danny’s first grandchild. He’ll turn five months old later this month.
Despite their real-life connection, Dani won’t be appearing as a member of the Carter clan in her EastEnders cameo.
But be prepared for a double serving of baby drama as the pair’s story unfolds and they share a wild ride to Walford General.
Mick – who recently found out his wife Linda is pregnant with Max Branning’s child – is in a rush to get to the hospital. However, it's Jeanette, his heavily pregnant taxi driver, who’ll be needing medical attention by the end of the pair’s journey.
The 24 year old no doubt drew on her own labour experience during filming, but that doesn’t mean the star wasn’t anxious about getting it right.
“I was so nervous as I haven’t done acting in a while,” she admitted, but maintained that “filming was so much fun.”
She continued: “They made me feel so relaxed and I absolutely loved the director. He was brilliant and really gave me some good advice.”
Plus, acting alongside her pa – who also happens to be one of the funniest blokes in the business – made it all the more enjoyable.
“I really love working with my dad,” Dani admitted. “He really does make work easy with whatever we do together.”
She continued: “He’s got a habit of trying to make me laugh, so I really had to ignore the little things he did!”
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
