Countdown host Rachel Riley has seen her fair share of unusual words spelled out on the Channel 4 show, but one term truly took the cake this week.
The 34-year-old TV personality couldn't hold back her smile as the word "orgasmed" appeared on the letter board, in a saucy arrangement of vowels and consonants.
Comedian Shappi Khorsandi had spelled out the word, taking advantage of the letters before him.
The intellectual daytime quiz show is having something of a lucky streak when it comes to racy words – the term "blowie" appeared on the board just days previously.
Rachel made a surprised face in reaction to the term, which can be used as a slang word to describe oral sex carried out on a penis.
However, the contestant admitted they hadn't intended to describe a sex act – instead, they had been referencing the blowie, an Australian word to describe a blowfly.
Proudly defending his creative interpretation of the letters, contestant Shappi said: "It's a fly.
"A kind of fly."
Over on Dictionary Corner, letters whizz Susie Dent was quick to defend the guess, confessing the term "blowie" was a valid dictionary term.
A number of X-rated terms have made an appearance on the show over the years, from "penises" to "todgers".
Marking her 10-year anniversary on the show in 2018, Rachel shared a tribute to the sauciest terms to pop up over the past decade, posting a range of hilarious Countdown screengrabs to Twitter.
Speaking about the foul-mouthed language on the show, Rachel previously revealed she and her co-stars Nick Hewer and Susie are often left chuckling over the rude words.
In May, she told the Express: "In my ear the producers and the gallery are just as filthy as you can imagine and they try to make me laugh.
"There's always rude stuff and Nick and Susie generally don't notice some of the rude words that I might notice, so that can be funny at times."
Countdown airs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 2.10pm on Channel 4
