MARIA Connor has had a lot on her plate in recent weeks.
But when Phill Whittaker decides to help her, she's dealt with another blow next week on Coronation Street.
Corrie viewers know that Maria (played by actress Samia Longchambon) has her hands full as she's not only taking care of wayward Kelly Neelan and her ill mother Laura but is also running to secure a place on the Weatherfield council.
Her political campaign hasn't been the easiest to handle but in scenes due to air next week, she gets help from Phill (Jamie Kenna) who hatches a plan turn everything around.
With the help of Maria's brother Kirk (Andy Whyment) dressed in his Buzzer the Bee costume, Phill produces a confidential report to prove the council are covering up the dangers of local air pollution.
However, his gesture lands him into plenty of trouble.

ITV viewers remember he was the one to suggest she tried for a place in the local council, guiding her through what to do.
In recent episodes, he has decided to help her out as Maria struggled to measure up to her main rival, Bernard, portrayed by Benidorm creator and actor Derren Litten.
The latter sabotaged Maria's efforts to get some photos of her in Victoria Garden for her campaign by showing up by Weatherfield County footballers James and Ashley.
Since she has been spending time with Phill to help her political career take off – despite a feud with Sally Metcalfe – some fans have speculated she could be crossing swords with Phill's partner Fiz Stape again.
Maria has already tried to sabotage Fiz's relationship with Tyrone Dobbs in 2014 but failed.
Although she is happily married to Gary, his efforts to keep his murderous secret under wraps could push Maria to get closer to Phill.
