I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Stanley Johnson was on This Morning today alongside TV favourite Vanessa Feltz to talk about coronavirus.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson (who is Stanley's son) recommended that people should start working from home "where they possibly can" and "should avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues".
Quizzing Stanley on This Morning today, host Phillip Schofield asked him if he will be going to the pub tonight despite his son's advice.
Stanley revealed that "yes" he will still be going to the pub.
A shocked Phil responded: "Even though your son said not to?"
Stanley replied: "Well yes, it's just don't go if you don't have to."
Fellow guest Vanessa Feltz said: "Who has to go to the pub?!"
Stanley replied: "I think we’ve just got to take a measured approach to this.
"We are going to keep this thing under control and we will come out at the other side.
"In the end there will be a vaccine and there will be some auto immune system in place."
Vanessa said she thought it was "too early" to adopt Stanley's "big picture" thinking.
She said she has immediate concerns for the over-seventies' mental health, as they may be in lockdown for a very long time.
Stanley snapped back: "Let's differentiate here, I’m over 70 and I’m fine I’d go and climb a mountain if I could.
"I've climbed Mount Kilimanjaro once."
Stanley then said we should adopt a chicken pox party-type approach, seeing us "get it now and get it over with".
Phil quickly intercepted and saiid: "I don't think that's the advice we were given yesterday."
