Beyoncé is pure perfection as she heads to The Lion King premiere

We were wondering if Beyoncé would make an appearance at the World Premiere of The Lion King overnight in Los Angeles – but she did, and then some.

The superstar voices Nala in the Disney reboot of the 1994 classic and she embodied everything powerful about the character on Tuesday night.

Holding the hand of her daughter with rapper Jay Z, seven-year-old Blue Ivy, Bey strutted into the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles in an outfit fit for a queen.

The pride is beaming with this one (how many more Lion King references can we get into this, eh?).

Unfortunately Jay, nor their two-year-old twins Sir and Rumi, didn’t make an appearance.

The Crazy In Love star was looking crazy stylish in a perfectly gilded Alexander McQueen blazer mini-dress (custom, of course) that sported a sheer, floor-length skirt.

She was dripping in matching jewels and crystals as a pair of earrings hung down and met a necklace that kept the party going.

Toting an encrusted purse, she wore her hair in tight braids for the quick appearance – mother Tina Knowles following closely behind at all times.

Little Blue was matching her mama, as she wore a blazer with a little embellishment on the shoulders, and the same matching skirt over a pair of black trousers.

Can these two, not? Seriously?!

Fans who had gathered to see their favourite actors emerge to ring in the reboot were giddy with anticipation as to whether Beyoncé would attend alongside the likes of Donald Glover, Keegan-Michael Key, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and director Jon Favreau.

But she well and truly brought it, as she graced the proceedings with her presence – supported by Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

The buzz is real for the release, set to hit cinemas in a few days, with more and more images and teasers and brilliance emerging to really whet our whistle ahead of the cinema screenings.

While some are fearing Beyoncé will sound, well, ‘too Beyoncé’ for her turn alongside Donald’s Simba, the majority of punters are keen to relive this classic flick.

That and Beyonce and Donald – who performs as Childish Gambino – recorded a new version of Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight? which featured in the original 1994 animation, while the soundtrack will also include a mysterious new song believed to be a brand new track from Queen Bey.

The Lion King hits UK cinemas on 19 July.
