Arie Luyendyk Jr. is thankful for the little things on his second wedding anniversary with Lauren Burnham.
The reality star dedicated a sweet post to his pregnant wife on Instagram Tuesday in honor of their special day, saying he "only feels more connected and more in love." The Bachelor alums, who share 19-month-old daughter Alessi, are currently expecting twins.
"Today is our 2 year anniversary! I joked last week that I feel we have been together longer but that's a good thing right? I love our little family," he wrote. "Coffee in the morning before Alessi wakes up, walks around our backyard, planning dates at our house because of this wild year we have had."
Reflecting on their past year together, Luyendyk Jr., 39, marveled at how far they've come as a parents.
"It's funny if you think of where we were at a year ago, finally figuring out how to be new parents. Now a year later we have it all figured out (seemingly) but at the same time have no idea what's coming haha," he said. "I love that we always tackle things head on and come out stronger for it, I can't wait for what this next year holds for us."
"I'm so grateful we found each other and even more grateful to share in this incredible life we are creating together," he added. "Love you."
Keeping her own post simple, Burnham, 29, shared a photo of herself from her wedding day cradling her then-baby bump while holding her husband's hand.
"Love you more every day," she wrote.
In December, just two days after their initial pregnancy announcement, Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham revealed that they will actually be welcoming twins this summer.
'Two?! No way," Luyendyk Jr. said in a YouTube video as Burnham covered her face and laughed in disbelief. "We were literally googling the chances of twins and how rare it is in people that are younger and haven't had any history."
"I can't believe there's two of them!" Burnham added through happy tears.
The couple previously revealed last May that they suffered a missed miscarriage, which occurs when the embryo has died but has not been physically miscarried.
