Ant and Dec have shared a sneak peek inside Gwrych Castle ahead of the launch of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2020… and we’re feeling pretty excited to say the least.
On Sunday 15 November, I’m A Celebrity is finally returning to our screens.
The series is going to look markedly different than usual this year, with the contestants stationed in a castle in Wales rather than the typical Australian camp.
Thanks to a short video shared by Ant and Dec on social media, we’ve been able to take a quick look inside the castle, where celebrities including AJ Pritchard and Sir Mo Farah will be taking on Bushtucker Trials.
In the video, Ant beckons the camera in, welcoming viewers ‘for exclusive access to our set and the castle’.
But Dec – the more sensible of the two – adds that the majority of the set is ‘censored’ saying that ‘you can’t actually see anything before the show goes on air’.
However, that doesn’t stop us from catching a quick glimpse of the table where Ant and Dec will be presenting during the series, complete with a mini treasure chest, a rusty set of keys and a pair of goblets.
In the background behind them, Gwrych Castle can be seen outside the window, lit up against the dark night sky.
Ant also tries to show the camera a suit of armour used to decorate the room, but the armour is quickly blurred out, with Dec’s face comedically superimposed on top.
When Ant attempts to share the view from outside their window, the view of Gwrych Castle is replaced by some sand castles, before Ant and Dec themselves are also pixelated, with Dec jokingly adding: ‘We are also censored.’
Nonetheless, the limited preview of the I’m A Celebrity 2020 set has stirred up huge levels of excitement among fans.
‘I am so incredibly excited for the show on Sunday,’ one person commented on Instagram.
‘Make Sunday come quicker,’ another added, while someone else wrote: ‘I’m so excited. It looks brilliant.’
Before the show’s launch, ITV shared some photographs from inside the castle, showing the celebrities’ living quarters (in the freezing cold), the ‘privy’, which has replaced the ‘dunny’, and the medieval shower room, instead of an Australian waterfall.
I’m A Celebrity returns on Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
