Prince Philip wouldnt associate with Sarah Ferguson before Andrew marriage

Prince Philip reportedly wanted nothing to do with his son's wife, Sarah, Duchess of York – even before she tied the knot with Prince Andrew.

Royal experts claimed that Sarah knew how her late thought of her and knew she "wasn't welcome" when the Duke of Edinburgh was around.

Their relationship hit a new low when images of Sarah appeared with her financial advisor John Bryant allegedly "sucking" her toes.

Philip allegedly saw red and never forgave the Duchess, with some commentators claiming he refused to be in the same room as her, apart from the weddings of her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Meanwhile, the Queen is said to have forgiven Sarah with the Monarch, 96, often inviting her to Royal Ascot and Balmoral.

Speaking on The Firm: Blood, Lies and Royal Succession podcast, royal biographer Jane Dismore claimed: "She's the one person that Prince Philip would not have anything to do with."

It's believed that Prince Philip was left enraged in 2010 when Sarah attempted to sell access to her former husband, Prince Andrew for £500,000, with the tapes, eventually being leaked to the media.

Sarah told an undercover news reporter posing as a businessman that she can "open any door".

While Prince Andrew "categorically" had no idea any meeting took place, Sarah later admitted she was "devastated by the situation", saying: "I very deeply regret the situation and the embarrassment caused."

Richard Mineards told the podcast that Prince Philip "would never deal with her, would not attend events with her" after the bombshell story came to light.

Meanwhile, Cele Otnes, author of Royal Fever added: "He was so angry with her for embarrassing the family like that, that he basically declared her persona non grata at the Royal Family."

The Daily Express' royal expert Richard Palmer recently claimed that Prince Philip would often go "somewhere else" when Andrew and Sarah visited the Queen at Balmoral Castle over the summer months.

Despite their strained relationship, Sarah had nothing but praise for the late Duke following his death in April 2021.

She told The Telegraph Magazine: "The Duke was an extraordinary consort, father and grandfather, and his passing has left a great void in the family.

"He served his nation and the Queen with incredible dedication for almost 70 years."

However, Sarah was not among the 30 mourners who attended Prince Philip's funeral at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
