Mighty Ducks’ Shaun Weiss unrecognisable after drug addiction recovery

Child star Shaun Weiss looked completely unrecognisable as he sported a dramatic transformation following his drug addiction and brave recovery.

The 42-year-old, who played Greg Goldberg in Mighty Ducks as a kid, has been fitted with a brand new set of teeth after his were rotted away during his drug addiction.

For over 200 days the star has now been sober and heartwarmingly, he looks happier than ever and back to his health.

Prior to his new teeth, Shaun was left living with "badly infected teeth" that were tragically leaving him in "serious pain".

But now, thanks to his pal Drew Gallagher, Shaun couldn't help but beam from ear-to-ear as she showed off his new pearly whites.

Drew set up a GoFundMe page for his friend in January to support him through his recovery journey.

He updates it regularly so fans can see Shaun's impressive progress with his pal sharing a photo of Shaun on the page.

In the photo, Shaun cracks a lovely big smile as he parts his lip and reveals his new gnashers.

The selfie shocked fans as it almost looks like a different man to the mugshot that was taken of Shaun earlier this year.

At the start of the year prior to his recovery, Shaun was arrested and charged with burglary and being under the influence of methamphetamine.

Also known as meth, methamphetamine is a powerful, highly addictive stimulant that affects the central nervous system.

It was after his arrest that Drew decided it was time to get his pal onto a better path and set up the donation page in a bid to get his friend living a happy and sober life again.

Drew insists that his mate is now "thriving".

Posting at the end of last month, Drew wrote: "Weiss is thriving.

"His face and mouth feels like 'tenderised meat' as he recovers from each oral surgery, but he is feeling blessed to be getting a new set of permanent teeth.

"His progress has been smooth and steady and he is well over 225 days sober."

In a post written earlier by Drew, he thanked LA-based dentist Dr Gabe Rosenthal for not charging a penny for any of Shaun's dental treatment or work.
