Kelly Clarkson returns to host Billboard Music Awards 2020 on new air date

Good news y’all, the Billboard Music Awards 2020 officially has a new air date.

The annual award show was postponed back in March as the coronavirus pandemic began and now fans will get the chance to see who the winners are later this year.

Host Kelly Clarkson revealed the news on social media as she wrote: ‘The @BBMAs are set for October 14, 2020 and I’ll be hosting for the third time! Mark your calendars and don’t forget to tune-in on NBC. #BBMAs.’

No other details about the show – which was due to take place in Las Vegas on 29 April – has been revealed just yet.

The announcement comes after changes were made to the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards due to the pandemic.

Later this month, the show will take place in various outdoor locations rather than the usual setups at the Barclays Center in New York City.

The show will not have a live audience and time will tell if the BBMAs will also follow that model.

Otherwise, the show will have to take place virtually which is the plan for the upcoming Emmy Awards.

Either way, it’s sure to be a fun watch!

The Billboard Music Awards will air on October 14, 2020 on NBC.
