Inside Halsey’s New Makeup Line – Nicki Swift

Halsey might be “Bad at Love,” but she is seriously good at makeup. If you check many of her past looks from recent years (particularly ones on her Instagram account), you’ll know that the Manic singer has many artistic talents — one of them being her ability to do her own flawless face beat. (Could we do our own eyeliner that well? That answer is a resounding no.) In fact, Halsey — real name: Ashley Frangipane — is so in love with makeup products that she decided to start her own line: About-Face. BRB, buying every item right now.

As a perfect start to the New Year, Halsey revealed in January 2021 that she had launched her very own line of makeup products after “building this for 2-3 years.”

“many of you know ive done my own makeup for a long time,” Halsey tweeted on Jan. 4, 2021. “i believe makeup is about feeling cool, not looking perfect.” And she was involved with every step of the process:

” … I am a student and a lover and every detail of this from shade names, to product ingredients, to packaging was me,” Halsey shared. “I am so happy I could faint. Thanks for being so excited with me!!!!!”

Now, let’s get to the good stuff.

What exactly does Halsey's makeup line entail and how much does it cost?

First off: About-Face is totally affordable, with prices similar to what you’d find at Sephora. As of early January 2021, all products from Halsey’s makeup line are available for pre-order, with a free shadowstick thrown into orders $20 and up. (A $35 purchase will get you free shipping in the U.S.!)

As for her products, we have no doubt that Halsey will build up her line as it becomes successful. Right now, she’s offering a handful of items for your face, lips, and eyes, as well as makeup tools and super cute, limited edition iridescent cosmetic bags.

For instance, a face highlighter is available in three shades for $32; a “light lock powder” retails for $30 and comes in four colors. For your pout, About-Face boasts gloss ($20), matte lipstick ($22), and lipliner ($17), all available in a variety of shades. An eyeshadow stick ($21) comes in eight colors. And these are just a few of Halsey’s offers.

There you have it: You’re just one step closer to achieving Halsey’s bright and bold makeup look!
