Elvis Presley was ’nuzzling’ against me says Linda Thompson
Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977 from a cardiac arrest. The legendary singer’s last days were spent in his home, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was with his fiancée, Ginger Alden, and his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. Over the course of the years that followed the King of Rock n Roll’s death, many rumours surfaced suggesting he had not actually died. Instead, many conspiracy theorists claimed he had actually “faked” his death, and went into hiding instead.
Many versions of this story have come out over the past few decades, with various other “sightings” of the King being paraded in the press.
One of the more rare mentions of Elvis came from an ex-girlfriend of his, Linda Thompson.
Linda spoke candidly in the late ‘70s about where she believes Elvis went after his death.
Linda was with Elvis through the early ’70s, just before he met and became engaged to Alden.
Speaking about his apparent lack-of-love for life when he died, Linda confessed: “When I left him, he looked fine.”

Linda continued: “He really had deteriorated a lot. Here’s a man who has everything in the world going for him.
“And he was the most gorgeous man, I think, physically, who ever lived. Spiritually, he was found, he was good, he was solid.”
Despite this, his death left quite the mark on the world, something that Linda has found peace in in her own way.
During the interview she said: “I believe that Elvis lives on.”

Linda said: “Certainly, he lives on even in this world, in our memories. But I think that he is in another dimension.
“It’s comforting to me, before I go to sleep at night, to know within my own soul, that wherever Elvis is now, he knows who truly loves him, he knows who had high regard.”
Linda isn’t the only widower of Elvis that finds themselves missing him..
During an interview in 2012 Elvis’ ex-wife Priscilla Presley opened up on her late-ex whilst in Graceland.

Priscilla was asked if she felt like “Elvis was going to come down the stairs at any minute,” to which she responded: “Absolutely. I’ve always said that.”
The at-the-time 67-year-old continued: “This home was such a part of him. He loved this home. He always came back here no matter what.”
She then went on to talk about how she felt the star’s “presence” around Graceland, years after his death.
She said: “His presence is just all around, going into each room. Sitting here, or sitting and talking, or playing the piano.”
Sitting next to Lisa Marie Presley, Priscilla then went on to explain how she remembers some of the good times she had in the iconic house.
She continued: “Early morning hours. The kitchen, that’s where we all congregated.
“Lots of laughs – I can sometimes hear laughter.”
