Ed Sheeran is known for being down to earth, but he revealed in a radio interview on Friday (September 10) that he managed to take Taylor Swift to his local pub and nobody noticed.
The Shape Of You star and Taylor's friendship dates back years, and Ed told Jordan and Perri on KISS Breakfast about their antics in the boozer.
Taylor isn't the only famous friend he's taken for a pint, as he revealed he also took Stormzy out too.
"I took Stormzy to my local pub and it was one of those ones where the locals were trying to be funny with him but it just ended up being like ‘oh no, can you not say that please’… " he laughed.
"I took Taylor there once, but when I took Taylor no one really clocked who it was, it was like a week later that the person behind the bar was like, ‘Did you bring Taylor Swift in here last week?’”
They were probably kicking themselves for not saying anything at the time.
Ed was talking on the show after he dropped a surprise single on Thursday night, called Shivers.
He talked about the pressure he faces when there are so many popular new artists around.
“If you're an artist coming out with new music and there's a song like Good For You, Olivia Rodrigo or even like Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, like when you're coming out with new music and there's a song that's streaming four times the amount of the No2 song…
"You have to basically do better than everyone else and then better than the person that is doing better than everyone else," he said.
"I looked at that and I was like, I'll be happy if it [Bad Habits] goes Top 10. Thankfully did a bit better, but you can never take these things for granted.”
He also shared the unusual venue he visited to record some of his new music: "Bad Habits was made in like an old country house they filmed like some of Bridgerton in.
"We had to bring in generators to power the studio, also there was no central heating so there was literally one of my mates was just lighting fires."
It's all glamour!
He also talked about his daughter Lyra turning one year old.
“It has completely flown, but this is what every parent says, they're just like, oh, you know, it flies by, but really I feel like I've blinked," he said.
“I've got a long tour coming up so I think by the time of that she'll probably start primary school we'll have been around the world like three or four times so I think it's probably time to settle and have a normal childhood I think.”
