Former Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman, 60, has bid farewell to her beloved house, sharing a series of photos with her 192,000 Instagram followers.
Carol’s palatial Bristol home featured an outdoor swimming pool with a diving board, a modern kitchen, and a cosy living room.
She also posted a snap of her house looking festive with a roaring fire and a Christmas tree in the lounge.
Carol referred to her home as “SLOBLOCK HALL" and wrote an emotional goodbye as she sells up and moves out.
“Goodbye my happy place…..
“So many wicked parties…..so so many brilliant memories.
“I’m a lucky woman. And now I'm moving on to yet more new adventures.
“Wishing the new family who call you home now every happiness and health and laughter. Cheers SLOBLOCK We had a blast.”
Carol then shared on her Instagram stories that the house's nickname is a near-anagram of “all b******s”.
“Sloblock” was a conundrum on comedy series A Bit of Fry & Laurie, where Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie spoofed Countdown.
It then became a running joke between a delighted Carol and presenter Richard Whiteley
Carol explained: “SLOBLOCK became our Countdown swear word. I named my house SLOBLOCK HALL.
“My theory on ego and showbiz and taking life too seriously it’s HALL B*******S.”
She then shared a video of herself leaving her property in her car for the last time, writing: “Wishing the new owners of SLOBLOCK HALL every happiness and health and just every wonderful wish possible.
“I’m on to new adventures #forevermovingon.”
Carol's supportive fans responded to her emotional post, wishing her all the best with the move.
One wrote: “Thats a shame @carolvorders, my friend lives on that road and I house-sit sometimes, had hoped you could come down for a party. Congratulations on the sale.”
Another added: “What a fabulous home. Must be sad to leave after creating so many memories.”
Another commented: “Lovely place, new owners will love it.”
