Brian May has begged people to get vaccinated after a "truly horrible" battle with Covid.
The Queen rocker and his wife, EastEnders legend Anita Dobson, tested positive after attending a birthday lunch with friends earlier this month and Brian said he had "two horrendous days".
Opening up in a series of videos on Instagram, Brian said that he and Anita had been "hermit-like" and had been really careful amid the coronavirus pandemic.
They decided to "chance" the lunch because everyone attending was triple jabbed and would be using lateral flow tests to ensure they were negative.
However, several people from the party later tested positive.
Brian, 74, and Anita, 72, then did too and were both poorly.
The star said he a couple of bad days where it felt like he had "the worst flu you can imagine" and he couldn't even get out of bed.
However, he then started to pick up and is now getting through it.
He told fans: "I can't emphasise to you enough – this is not the response that my body would have made on its own. It's making this response because I've had three Pfizer jabs."
"I beg you, and implore you, to go and get jabbed if you're not already," he urged his followers. "Because you need the help."
The chart star also shared that he had lost one of his closest friends early on in the pandemic.
"In six days, it killed him," he said.
"It could have done me, but it didn't because of the jabs."
The guitarist also paid tribute to Anita, saying that she had been a real "warrior" while he was unwell.
"All my love and gratitude to my amazing wife Anita – who was a warrior while I mainly slept through this – cooking up a storm and caretaking and holding everything together," he wrote.
"Again. Who could be as lucky as I?"
