Woman makes epic Cadbury birthday cake for £8 – and it’s a chocoholic’s dream

A woman has revealed she made an impressive Cadbury themed birthday cake for just £8.

Laura Stockdale took to social media to share the results of her imaginative baking skills, and it's certainly impressive.

Sharing three images of the delicious-looking treat, any chocoholic would find it hard to resist a slice of this cake.

Writing in Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Laura wrote: "Made my mum a Cadbury cake for her birthday, not perfect but to be fair this is only like the 2nd cake I've ever made.

"Hope she likes it, only cost about £8 to make and its made with love, what more could you want," she added.

The cake was decorated with tons of giant buttons as well as Cadbury Fingers.

Fellow Facebook users were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "Very well done. Bet it tastes yummy too..Well done."

A second person added: "Looks pretty perfect to me," while a third said: "Looks fantastic and she will love it so much more than a bought one."

A fourth person admitted: "It looks truly amazing, it's my daughter's birthday next week and you've inspired me."

Laura was clearly overwhelmed by the positive response and later added: "Thanks for all your lovely comments everyone! Didn't expect such kind feedback."

It comes after another woman recently revealed that she had made a DIY advent calendar for her husband.

Facebook users were more than impressed with Lindsay Roberts' gift for her other half, which included various popular chocolate bars.

Lindsay bought an array of well-known treats, including Yorkie, Toffee Crisp, Areo and KitKat Chunky – and wrapped them all up individually.

Sharing before and after pictures on Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, she captioned the post: "Was looking at advent calendars for hubs last night and decided to DIY it instead!

"Free bit of cardboard from Aldi, chocolate multipacks from Home Bargains and some cheap wrapping paper. Has all his faves in too. (And yes he's a serious chocoholic)," she added.
