On Sunday evening celebrities, musicians and plenty of famous faces descended on to the red carpet of the Video Music Awards in New York.
Despite the actual awards, obviously we were obsessed with seeing what each of them would show up and show off in at the pre-event ritual.
Looking through all of the attendee’s we think we can definitely agree that this was the year of skin as we saw the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Megan Fox set pulses racing in their daring outfits.
They might have been risqué but they looked incredible, so we thought to round up some of our best dressed stars to attend.
The amazing JLo might be 52-years-old but she never lets that define what she wears.
The pop star took to the carpet in a David Koma leather outfit which was tied together (barely) with black laces.
Say what you want, but we’re in complete awe of how incredible Jennifer looked.
Another gorgeous lady that absolutely stunned was none other than Megan Fox who rocked up in a completely sheer Mugler dress which came with a dainty diamanté thong, because why not?
The 35-year-old set pulses racing as she stepped on the carpet alongside boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly and we think it’s safe to say that they won best looking couple.
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian
The Kardashians are always known for their brilliant style, but sister Kourtney has upped her fashion game since being with new beau Travis Barker, and we’re all for it.
The happy couple stepped onto the carpet and matched in black outfits as Kourtney ticked all of the boxes in a luxe leather tie up dress by designer Olivier Theyskens.
Another singer who left little to the imagination in a black belted dress was singer Ashanti.
The harness style dress was made by designer Michael Costello and whilst some may say it’s too much, we think she looks phenomenal.
Camilla Cabello took a break from promoting her new film Cinderalla to take bring the drama to the VMAs red carpet in a Alexis Mabille gown.
The dress saw the star wear a pink corset with a dramatic oversize bow skirt and we’re a little obsessed.
Fifth Harmony singer Normani took cropped styles and short skirts to a whole new level with her Patrycja Pagas white outfit.
The look compromised of white cropped leather jacket with oversized cuffs along with a rather questionable but edgy skirt.
Someone who we are missing dearly is much-loved singer Avril Lavigne who showed up in true rock chick style in a pink tartan suit by Area and Cristahlea.
Whilst we’re crazy for the bold pattern we’re huge fans of the silver sequin bralette sparkling underneath.
Did we really expect Paris Hilton to show up in anything less than something spectacular and full of sparkles?
Putting her flawless legs on display, the blonde babe struck several poses in a silver reflective mini dress by The Blonds .
UK singer Charli XCX also stuck to the sheer theme in a black lace dress that might look like scraps of fabric sewn together but the more we look at it, the more we love it.
The man of the hour, month and year Lil Nas stole the show once again as he took to the carpet in a fierce lilac Versace dress and we’re speechless.
The look saw an off-the-shoulder draped blazer which came with a dramatic train and matching trousers – all we’re asking is where can we get one?
As red carpet events return to our lives, we can’t wait to see more and more fashionable looks from our much-loved stars.
