Mum with Britains biggest eyebrows says troll threatened to kill her daughter

Earlier this year the Daily Star introduced you to a woman who has “Britain’s biggest eyebrows” and since then she has gone on to get more than two million likes on her TikTok page.

But for Sammie-Jo Hailford, her new found fame has come with consequences.

One of which is rancid trolls who have sent her vile threats online.

The 27-year-old, from Grimsby, said: “One nasty message was threatening to kidnap my daughter and murder her.

“It was the beginning of last month and to be honest I was a bit panicked at first and I thought it was the most disgusting message anyone could send.

“But I blocked them and once I realised it was a fake account I calmed down a bit and moved on. I did keep a record of it for any further one that might appear from the same accounts just in case.

“That was horrible but the only one to that extreme. I don’t really get horrible messages, just nasty comments.”

The mum-of-two has also been targeted by cruel keyboard warriors who mock her for having crooked teeth.

But the social media star believes her positivity and openness have encouraged others to feel more body positive

She said: “I draw on moles and mono brows sometimes and women have felt empowered by them as they naturally have those features themselves.

“Also, my teeth being wonky and bent have helped so many people feel confident with the teeth they have.”

Sammie-Jo started using liquid liner to make her brows bigger last year and she made them massive to highlight that the "be kind" brigade can be fickle.

She explained: “I do it to prove that you can be who you want to be to express ourselves even if it’s not society’s norm.

“I get a lot of bad reactions and people can’t understand why I would wear my makeup the way I do but it’s an experiment to prove that people only care about image and I prove them right every day.”

But despite some unfavourable feedback, Sammie-Jo has also enjoyed an abundance of support.

And the mum has even been approached in public by fans who want to take a selfie with her.

She said: “I get a lot of good people who understand what I do and I have given them so much confidence and helped them to learn to love who they are.

“I do get recognised a lot in the street now too and people will use my profile picture or shout ‘you’re that famous TikTok girl with the eyebrows’ and I get them asking for photos.

“I like to make people happy, especially the younger generation. But sometimes it can get a bit much when there's groups of kids shouting me down for photos or just shouting at me as I walk past.“

Since sharing her story earlier this year Sammie-Jo has led a social media campaign called ‘BROWS’.

It stands for “beauty redefined or we suffer” and she hopes she can continue to challenge the current “unrealistic” beauty standards.
