Just when you thought there could be no celebs left with lip fillers, another star decides to jump on the trend to have them dissolved. This week it’s the turn of Love Island 2021 star Sharon Gaffka, whose full pout was something of a signature look for her while she was in the villa.
The 26 year old previously made no secret of the fact she used lip filler injections to add a bit of volume, often tagging her go-to clinic in social media posts, and now she’s being equally as candid about dissolving them in a bid to get a more natural effect.
Sharon has just taken to Instagram to post a gorgeous makeup-free selfie from a spa, captioning it: “Sauna skin + Freckles. On Friday,@drzaranortleyand I did a thing! Can anyone tell?”
Fans have been quick to pick up on what Sharon is referencing, and many are applauding the star on her choice.
“Loooove that you dissolved your filler, you look gorgeous babe,” praises one follower, while another writes: “You are absolutely gorgeous!! What a role model you are. Keep being your beautiful self.”
A third references the fact that sometimes lips can look wrinkly after fillers get dissolved, saying: “We did indeed! You look so beautiful, and not a sagging balloon at all.”
Though Sharon has made her cosmetic treatments common knowledge since departing the villa, at the beginning of the series plenty of fans wondered whether her lips were natural or the result of a bit of needle work.
“Did Sharon get her lips done?” asked one Love Island watcher, while another tweeted at the time: “Sharon’s lips are well nice, no wonder Aaron is glued to them.”
The speculation was short lived, however, as Dr Zara, Sharon’s long-time preferred clinician, notified fans that it was her who had given the star a pre-villa beauty blitz.
“The secret is out! My bestie, cheerleader, and client @sharongaffka is on her way to the Love Island Villa. Will she find love?” Dr Zara wrote, uploading a picture of Sharon looking very pouty.
Sharon seems to be making quite the effort to reverse some of her beauty treatments at the moment. Aside from having her lip fillers dissolved, she’s also been undergoing a course of laser sessions to remove old eyebrow tattoo pigment.
“I’ve had comments about how different I’ve been looking recently,” she writes on an Instagram story, tagging in London’sTracie Giles clinic. “So, goes to show how much of a big difference your brows make to your face. I’ve now had three rounds of laser over the last three months, and I can easily say despite the short-term side effects like white hair in your brows, it’s been 100% worth it.”
We applaud Sharon for being so open with her fans about her treatments, and we think she looks as beautiful as ever with her new natural look.
