Even though he's been living away from his wife Tess Daly and two daughters, Vernon Kay has been lucky enough to be in luxury ahead of his stint on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

The radio DJ, 46, has spent the past couple of weeks staying in a mansion in Anglesey, an island off the north-west coast of Wales.

Vernon usually resides in his beautiful Buckinghamshire family home with Tess, 51, and his daughters Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 11, along with their two Shetland ponies.

But he swapped his home comforts for a "beautiful farmhouse" which boasts a gym, a "handful of bedrooms" and acres of land.

Taking to Instagram before he headed into the Welsh castle to join his fellow celebrity campmates for I'm A Celeb, Vernon, decided to take his followers on a tour around his temporary abode.

"I've been fortunate enough to stay in this place. It's beautiful. Little farm house on Anglesey and the weather's been interesting," the All Star Family Fortunes host said from outside the grounds.

"Hideous winds at times where I haven't been able to sleep but apart from that it's been great."

"We go into the living room and once again there's a theme to my lockdown quarantine. I've been putting, practicing my putting," he said as he showed off the golf setup.

"I've been on the cycling machine whilst I've been watching TV, got a games console, got an XBox, been playing Call Of Duty but I'm still rubbish at it. We got a log fire. That's been keeping me warm and busy keeping it lit."

Vernon had brought his own golfnet, and it there was even a hot tub in the back garden for him to indulge in before settling down to camp in the cold castle but admitted it was too cold to get in.

He continued as he strolled through the house: "Then we come into the hallway, I've got my battle ropes. Get a bit of cardio going and then in here, the farmhouse has a gym! So I've managed to work out. So that's good.

Vernon added: "So yeah I've been keeping busy, been doing all my washing, been keeping clean. Upstairs we've got a handful of bedrooms, it's a waste of time because it's only me in this farm house!"

The TV presenter, who hates being underwater and hopes his trials will stay on dry land, encouraged viewers to vote for him to keep him busy as he joins stars like Sir Mo Farah, soap actress Jessica Plummer, Shane Richie and Beverley Callard.
